Kim here…(surprise:) )…Saltina, thanks for posting this. Big thanks. You see, I’m a weaned-from-Zoloft wanna-be here, but I’m scared. I find it so hard to tell what is really ME and what is medicated ME, and which parts of that I’m supposed to take as reality. You know? You know.

==> Yeah, like, I was so counting on your “NaMoBloPoSchmo” (I never can get those abbreviations right) daily posting! I feel so…so used and cheap. You got my hopes up and left me hanging, man!

Don’t you hate when husbands are sick, it’s the DRAMA of the CENTURY, but try getting a teeny bit of compassion when you, the princess of the house, are on your deathbed…not a chance!

3) “Good lord has it been a rough couple years. But I finally can see the beginning of the end of the bad times.”
It’s all good! So glad that you have your Brad by your side!

Summer Reading Suggestion: “The Dark Is Rising” series by Susan Cooper. (if he’s read all the Harry Potters, these will be a breeze, much shorter but same sort of supernatural otherworldly stuff, with kids as the heroes) I’m sure you could find them at the library! Excellent books set in England from the late 70s. I’m a big fan of them.

Also – what about “A Wrinkle in Time”? Madeline L’Engle. Great Story!!!

HBD Saltinajo!

Don’t worry too much about 40 my dear…when I turned 40, your wise mother told me some of the best advice I heard and it still sticks in my head all the time. It’s totally true. Here it is: “It’s better on the other side.” And it is! Really! All that 20’s childhood stuff and 30’s analyzing-everything stuff–so over. Time to get down to living the life we were born to, I say. Now I’m just always kicking myself for not getting here sooner.

As for summer reading, W, M, and I are just starting the “Redwall” series by Brian Jacques. You and B should check it out–it’s REALLY promising and there are around 20 books, so it will keep us busy for a long time!! Also of course Rick Riordan’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series if you haven’t already, and The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. These are for B of course based on W’s best favorites. Got any for us?
